In times of change, we cling to what is familiar. It brings us comfort and joy. Maybe that’s why over the past decade, people have enjoyed Hallmark movies with such fervor. Amidst politics and family drama, the predictable storyline, festive soundtrack, and feel-good endings help reclaim some of that nostalgic Christmas magic. No matter how bad things get and no matter how many evil city businessmen try to steal our Christmas joy, old fashioned, uncomplicated love always wins out in the end.

No matter what this year has brought and no matter the chaos of your holiday season, I hope that for you leave the theater tonight a little lighter than when you left.
